Gressoney
GRESSONEY LA
TRINITE'
Nestling at an altitude of 1.644 m Gressoney La
Trinitè is the highest village in the Lys
Valley. It is renowned both for winter sports
and for the many trips to the Monte Rosa.
Its most appealing characteristics are the
warm welcome and the breathtaking view
the village offers. You’ll be amazed by the
typical Walser houses (Walser is the name of the
original inhabitants), the so-called stadel,
buildings made of wood and stone, lying on short
mushroom-shaped pillars.
From here you can leave on your skis and ski
through the three valleys of the Monterosa
Ski area, down more than 200 km slopes
for all tastes.
GRESSONEY
SAINT JEAN

Gressoney Saint Jean is the bigger of the two
villages. It has been a famous tourist site
ever since the beginning of the 20th
century, and Queen Margherita ordered the
building of the Savoia Castle, even in
1894.
Gressoney is renowned for the keeping of its
traditions, costumes and dialect and from
the village you have an enchanting view
on the Monte Rosa.
The village is 12 km long, along the upper Lys
Valley, and the mountains on its sides are often
higher than 3000 m.
Make sure you don’t miss, in winter, the
Leonardo David ski-slope, valid for the alpine
ski world
cup.
