Winter
The Monterosa Ski area includes all the
three valleys of Monte Rosa (the Ayas Valley,
the Lys Valley and the Sesia Valley). The
connection is granted thanks to the 35
ski-lifts, chair-lifts and cable railways
and the 3 tapis roulant. There are about
200 km ski-slopes, and the routes are
very varied. You’ll be mainly offered “blue”
slopes, the easier routes, but everywhere you’ll
also find “red” slopes of medium-difficulty, and
also exciting “black” slopes, where the more
experienced skiers will have a chance to measure
their skills. The area is equipped with
programmed snowmaker covering ab. 100 km
slopes with more than 400 cannons.
The slopes cover a drop from the 3550 m of Punta
Indren down to the 1186 m of Alagna.
Monterosa Ski is also the Italian land for the
off-piste skiing thanks to its many
uncontaminated slopes, extreme descents
and breathtaking views. As a matter of
fact it hostes the Monterosa Ski Rider, the
first competitive time skirun in Italy of
the genre.
